Overview

Scan2Sell provides tools that help merchants create product listings more efficiently, including features that assist in locating and organizing product images.

Merchants are responsible for ensuring that any images selected, uploaded, imported, or published using Scan2Sell are used legally and with proper authorization.

Scan2Sell does not grant licenses to third-party images and does not verify copyright ownership of images found on the internet.

Merchants must ensure they have the legal right to use any image before uploading it to their store or any other platform.

02

Merchant Responsibility

By using Scan2Sell’s image features, merchants agree that they:

  • own the image, or
  • have permission or a valid license to use the image for commercial purposes, or
  • are using images that are in the public domain or otherwise legally permitted.

Merchants are solely responsible for confirming that they have the right to use and publish any image selected or uploaded through the Scan2Sell platform.

Scan2Sell does not host or maintain permanent image libraries and does not provide ownership or licensing rights to images surfaced through its tools.

03

Prohibited Image Uses

Merchants may not use Scan2Sell to upload, import, or publish images that:

  • infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights
  • are obtained from stock photography websites without a license
  • are copied from competitor websites or online marketplaces
  • are owned by manufacturers or brands without authorization
  • contain watermarks indicating ownership or licensing restrictions
  • contain copyrighted catalog or product photography belonging to another retailer
  • misuse brand logos or trademarks in a misleading way

Use of such images may result in removal of the content or suspension of the merchant’s account.

04

Third-Party Image Sources

Images found on the internet are often protected by copyright.

When using Scan2Sell features that help locate images online, merchants must independently verify that they have the legal right to use those images.

Scan2Sell does not guarantee that images discovered through search tools are free to use.

05

Copyright Complaints

Scan2Sell responds to copyright complaints in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

If a valid copyright complaint is received, Scan2Sell may:

  • remove or disable access to the reported image
  • notify the merchant who published the content
  • suspend accounts that repeatedly violate intellectual property rights

More information about submitting copyright complaints can be found in the Scan2Sell DMCA Takedown Policy.

06
